The Baltimore Ravens are one of the professional American football teams that are based in Baltimore, Maryland. The franchise was founded on February 9, 1996, after Art Modell. He was the then owner of the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens play their home games in M&T Bank Stadium since 1998, while Memorial Stadium (1996–1997) was the previous home field for the team. The Ravens are headquartered in Owings Mills, Maryland.
The Ravens are under the ownership of Steve Bisciotti, whereas Dick Cass serves as president and Eric DeCosta as the general manager. The team has won two League championships; Super Bowl championships 2000 and 2012. It has also won two Conference championships (AFC: 2000, 2012) and six Division championships (AFC North: 2003, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2018, 2019). The team has also appeared twelve times in playoffs. They are declared to be one of the most successful franchises since they joined the game.
The official theme colors of the team’s uniform are purple, black, metallic gold, and white. The official fight song for the Ravens is "The Baltimore Fight Song." Poe is the official costumed mascot whereas Rise and Conquer are the two live ravens. The team also has a marching band known as Baltimore's Marching Ravens. The three most famous rivalries for the team are Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, and a few more.
The Ravens have inducted many players to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, such as Rod Woodson, Shannon Sharpe, Deion Sanders, Jonathan Ogden, and a few more. The team also inducted several players and coaches to their Ring of Honor.
