The Buffalo Sabres is an ice hockey team based in Buffalo, New York. The franchise is a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference relevant to the National Hockey League (NHL). The Buffalo Sabres use KeyBank Center as their home arena since 1966. The best team line recorded in history was the French Connection, which included Gilbert Perreault, Rene Robert, and Rick Martin. The team has the record for being the longest continuously running team active in the NHL franchise, who never won the Stanley Cup. Ralph Krueger was given the title of the Sabres head coach in May 2019.
The Buffalo Sabres were founded in 1970 during the expansion of the league. The uniform theme of the team is navy blue, gold, and silver. There are around eleven former players and four-sport builders included in the Hockey Hall of Fame. The builders of the sport include head coaches, general managers, owners, etc. Other than the mentioned ones, three broadcasters for the team are also given the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award from the Hockey Hall of Fame. These three are Rick Jeanneret in 2012, Ted Darling in 1994, and Harry Neale in 2013.
