With the great year-round climate, Charlotte allows for amphitheater shows starting in the spring through the summer and well into the fall months. PNC Music Pavilion: Located northeast of Charlotte, this outdoor amphitheater hosts a wide range of concerts, particularly during the warmer months. Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre: Formerly known as the Uptown Amphitheatre, this outdoor venue is located in the heart of uptown Charlotte and hosts concerts and other events. Spectrum Center: This is the largest indoor arena in Charlotte and hosts major concerts, as well as sporting events and other entertainment. The Fillmore Charlotte: A popular mid-sized venue in the North Carolina Music Factory complex, featuring both well-known and up-and-coming artists across various genres.
Theatre in Charlotte is an up-and-coming genre and every year it seems to grow a little better. The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is the creme de la creme of theatre venues in Charlotte. The Belk Theatre is the largest and the most often used for the larger traveling shows. Charlotte has been fortunate to pull large acts like Book Of Mormon, Wicked, Lion King, Jersey Boys, and Mamma Mia!.
