Atlanta Braves Information
The Atlanta Braves are one of the American professional baseball franchises. The franchise is based in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The team competes in Major League Baseball (MLB) as the club member of the East division of the National League (NL). The team plays their home game at SunTrust Park since 2017, which is located in the northwest of downtown Atlanta (Cobb County, Georgia). Some of the formal home stadiums, the Atlanta Brave have played in, are Milwaukee County Stadium (1953–1965), Atlanta–Fulton County Stadium (1966 to 1996), Turner Field (1997 to 2016), and a few more.
The team was founded in 1871 (Boston, Massachusetts) entitled Boston Red Stockings. The Braves are one of the National League's two remaining charter franchises accompanied by the Chicago Cubs. The team is said to be the oldest professional sports franchise operating continuously in America.
The Atlanta Braves changed several names in their history, such as Milwaukee Braves (1953–1965), Boston Braves (1941–1952), Boston Bees (1936–1940), Boston Beaneaters (1883–1906), and several more. Some of the nicknames given to the franchise are The Bravos, America's Team, and The Team of the 90s. The team plays its spring training games at CoolToday Park (North Port, Florida).
The Atlanta Braves selected Navy blue, scarlet red, and white theme for their uniforms. Navy blue and scarlet red are the official team colors. Chief Noc-A-Homa was the original mascot of Atlanta Braves (1950s-1986). Some of the other mascots owned by the franchise are Braves Bleacher Creature, Homer, BLOOPER, and Rally.
The Atlanta Braves were stated to be the most successful team during 1991-2005. The team overall won 14 East Division titles, 5 West Division titles, 2 Wild card berths, 17 NL Pennants, and 3 World Series Championship titles. They are the only team to win the World Series in three various home cities.
