Born on 15th June 1995, Tash Sultana is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. The genre she plays includes Psychedelic rock, alternative rock, reggae rock, lo-fi. Tash Sultana has been also known as a “one-man-band” given the fact that she plays multiple instruments such as Guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, trumpet, drums, pan flute, mandolin, saxophone, percussion along with the vocals. Although she started her career in the year 2013 she was unable to find regular work as a musician.
In 2016, she released a video on social media which went viral; in the same year Tash Sultana ‘Jungle’ song received a lot of attention and was voted into third place in the Triple J Hottest 100, 2016. She has performed at various festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Southbound, and St Jerome's Laneway Festival. Tash Sultana Notion which is an EP has received a lot of attention following which she announced a world tour in several countries starting from her home Australia followed by New Zealand, United Kingdom, and Europe.
