It was closed in 2000 and reopened in November 2014 by Mitchell Frank as a concert hall. Norman McLeod Ltd. designed the architecture of the Regent Theatre. The venue's acoustical properties were considered outstanding. It features a great lighting system to enhance the movies shown on the screen. The Regent Theatre is under the ownership of Live Nation.
The venue hosts dance nights, concerts, movie screenings, theater performances, and special events. Prince Chap performed at the opening ceremony of the Regent Theatre in 1914.
