The amphitheater was built as a home to the final pageant of Old Spanish Days-Fiesta. It has a seating capacity of 4,562 people at a time. The not-for-profit Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation owns it. This foundation has undergone renovations, including infrastructure, renovations, improved restroom facilities, seating upgrades, foodservice, and Food Cart.
