The theatre is owned by Broadway In Chicago. Rapp and Rapp designed the architecture of the theater. It went through a renovation in the years 1996-1998. The theatre is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Known as the Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre for years, the venue changed names in 2018.
