Troy Trojans football team plays under Troy University Troy, Alabama, in the NCAA football subdivision. The troy trojans began playing in the NCAA Division I A in 2001. They play on ProGrass surface fields. Chip Lindsey has the honor to lead the team as the head coach. They have twenty-one Conference titles, three National Championships, and four Divisional Titles under their names. The team has won AFCA Coach of the Year Award in 1984 and 1987. The famous and precious Buck Buchanan Award is also under the name of the Troy Trojans. The Trojans became the first and only members of the Sun Belt Conference in 2004.
The Troys play home games at Veterans Memorial Stadium. They host many traditional pre-game shows at the campus to revive the traditions and energize the fans as fan-fam that are famous among fans. Among many passionate and determined players, one of their team members is Lodi’s McKelvin who is famous as the most dangerous put return man in the nation.
