Suicide Boys are a hip hop duo founded by Ruby da Cherry and Scrim in 2014. Based in New Orleans, Louisiana, the pair rose to fame because of the explosive style of lyrics related to drug abuse and suicide. They uploaded their music on SoundCloud, and from there they rose. Their rise to popularity has garnered a cult following. After releasing a lot of extended playlists and mix-tapes, they finally released their first album in 2018.
Falling in the genres of hip hop and horror-core, Suicide Boys has received a lot of criticism for their harsh, abusive lyrics and also their offensive names. They were even considered to be Satan worshipers. However, in an interview, this tag was removed from their name when they explained that they had related Satan to the adverse effects of money and negative things related to money and drugs. Songs like Kill Yourself, To Have and Have Not, Runnin' Thru the 7th with My Woadies (with Pouya), Wifi Password Incorrect (with Black Smurf), Drugs/Money/Hoes/Etc., Antartica and many more such songs are the reason why they are so famous and one of the most popular acts right now.
