Born on 2nd October 1951, Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, also known as Sting is an English singer, bassist and songwriter. He got his name for dressing up in a yellow and black sweater with stripes in the form of hoops. Known both for being the part of the England based rock band The Police and his solo career, Sting has been immensely popular for his music amongst the masses. Having won 17 Grammies and a lot of such honorary awards like Golden Globe, Emmy and many more, Sting is considered to be one of the greatest musicians of all time.
