Originated in Portland in 1994, Pink Martini is more an orchestra rather than a music group because of the number of its members. Thomas Lauderdale, the founder of this group, initially wanted some tasteful music for his political campaign. After disliking all the existing music numbers, he experimented with combining, Jazz, classical, and old pop to create a unique fusion. This love for music led him to form his music group, Pink Martini.
The debut song “Sympathique” hit the new grounds of popularity in France and was also nominated as “Song of the Year” as well. The song has become an anthem for the workers in France and is still a sensation there. The main attraction of this group is its songs which are produced by a group of ten musicians and being sung in twenty-five languages
