Kaskade Information
48-year-old Ryan Gary Raddon, or as popularly known Kaskade, is DJ, remixer, and record producer originally from Chicago, Illinois. He holds a degree in communications from the University of Utah.
Kaskade began his journey to DJing in 1995, doing monthly Monday nights parties at a basement in Club Manhattan, and used proceeds from the gigs to buy studio equipment. In 2000, he moved to San Francisco after getting a job as an A&R assistant at a house and electronic label, Om Records. At the time, San Francisco was a hub for the emerging new deep house music, which worked to his benefit.
In 2001, he released his debut single What I Say. Kaskade’s album In the Moment propelled him to hit No.5 on Billboard Magazine’s Hot Dance Club Play chart for the first time, and No. 6 on the Dance Radio Airplay. His fourth single, Everything, made it to No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play.
