Bell Biv DeVoe is one of the sensational American music groups, also known as BBD, which includes Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe. The band first started producing music in the year 1989 and are best known for their multiplatinum-selling album called ‘Poison.’ This album is one of its kind as it was a crucial work in the new jack swing movement in the year 1990s and it combined the elements of R&B, soul along with hip hop. Two singles from this album ‘Do me!’ and ‘Poison’ reached the top 3 on Billboard Hot 100 in the year 1990.
The band released three more albums after poison, but none of them had any success, while their recent one ‘three stripes’ came out in 2017. BBD has won several awards for its work including the American Music Award for Favorite Soul, Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B and many more.
