The Regent Theatre is a concert hall and performance venue located at 448 S. Main Street, Los Angeles, California. It was open to the public in February 1914 as a National Theatre with a construction cost of $ 100,000. The theatre has a seating capacity of around 1,100 people.
It was closed in 2000 and reopened in November 2014 by Mitchell Frank as a concert hall. Norman McLeod Ltd. designed the architecture of the Regent Theatre. The venue's acoustical properties were considered outstanding. It features a great lighting system to enhance the movies shown on the screen. The Regent Theatre is under the ownership of Live Nation.
The venue hosts dance nights, concerts, movie screenings, theater performances, and special events. Prince Chap performed at the opening ceremony of the Regent Theatre in 1914. Space land presented the live performance at the reopening ceremony of the venue in November 2014. The recent events of 2019 include Eluveitie & Korpiklaani, Tijuana Panthers, The Ladygang Ladyhang, Ben Folds, Clubs & Girl Ultra, Millencolin, Cold Waves LA Showcase, and Daniela Mercury.
