The NIU Convention Center is a multi-purpose arena that is located at 1525 West Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, Illinois. It has a seating capacity of 10,000 people at a time. The arena was inaugurated on August 30, 2002, with a construction cost of $36 million. The center serves home to Northern Illinois Huskies Men's basketball women's basketball team women's indoor track, field squad, volleyball, wrestling, and gymnastics squad. The convention center hosts various events including opening convocation ceremony for first-year students, concerts, exposition, annual graduation ceremonies, and job fairs. A. Epstein & Sons International designed the architecture of the arena.

The very first event that took place in the arena was the Northern Illinois athletic event on August 30, 2002. The venue also hosted the memorial service held on February 24, 2008, in tribute to the victims of the Northern Illinois University shooting.

Jehovah's Witnesses county-wide meeting also takes place here on an annual basis during the second weekend of August.
