The Orpheum Theatre Madison is located at 216 State St, Madison, Wisconsin. It was opened to the public on March 21, 1927, with a construction cost of $750,000. It is the venue where live performances and musical theatre takes place. It has a seating capacity of 1,697 people at a time. The Orpheum Theatre Madison also hosts concerts and wedding receptions. The structure of the Orpheum Theatre building consists of the terrazzo floors, chandeliers, grand staircases, and statue of Orpheus. Gus Paras is the owner of Orpheum Theatre while it is operated by the Live Nation. The venue underwent renovations in the 1960s while Rapp and Rapp designed its original architecture. The theater was nearly burnt to ashes on December 19, 2014.

The Orpheum theater sponsors the yearly Madison Independent Film Festival. The building of this musical theatre was the first air-conditioned building in Wisconsin. The Orpheum Theatre was added to the National Register of Historic Places listings on January 23, 2008.
