The Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, also known as LJVM Coliseum or simply The Joel or Joel Coliseum, is located at 2825 University Parkway, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Coliseum opened its doors to the public on August 19, 1989. It has a seating capacity of around 14,665 people for the Basketball and 14,407 at the multi-purpose arena where upper-level seats are 8,013, and 6,559 lower level seats are included. The architecture of the LJVM Coliseum was designed by Ellerbe Becket.

The LJVM was home to the men’s and women’s basketball teams of the Wake Forest University. An annual school basketball tournament, Frank Spencer Holiday Classic, is hosted by the arena. The arena has also hosted the Harlem Globetrotters. The LJVM has hosted many wrestling events such as the annual pay-per-view event “Fall Brawl” from the year 1996-1999. The venue is also considered as an ideal place to organize a concert where a broad audience can be easily accommodated. The bull riding scene from the movie “The Longest Ride” was shot at the LJVM Coliseum in August 2004.
