The Event Center Arena, also known as the Event Center at SJSU, is located at the seventh street (main campus of San Jose State University in Downtown San Jose), California. It is a multipurpose complex consisting of an indoor arena, sports club, and fitness club that serves host to concert events, stage shows, conferences, and corporate parties. The Arena has a seating capacity of 5,000 people for sports events and 7,000 people for concerts. The Event Center Arena was built in May 1989 to support and provide entertainment as well as recreational opportunities to the students. The venue is owned and operated by San Jose State University. The Arena also has a fully equipped gym including basketball and racquetball courts.

Notable events that are hosted by the arena include numerous national entertainment events such as performances by Eric Clapton, George Lopez, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Kelly Clarkson, and Pearl Jam. It also hosted WWE Wrestlemania 31. Annually, the arena hosts the First Robotics Competition. Among the famous singers who performed at concerts include Arijit Singh, Austin Mahone, The Vamps, Fifth Harmony, Shawn Mandes, Meghan Trainor, Chris Rock, Gryffin, and many others.
