Montell Jordan Mississippi Coliseum Jackson

The Mississippi Coliseum is located at 1207 Mississippi Street, Jackson, Mississippi. It is a multi-purpose arena with a seating capacity of 6,500 people at a time. The venue was inaugurated in 1962. It is under the ownership of the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce and operated by the same. The coliseum is located on the Mississippi State Fairgrounds complex. The seating arrangement of the venue for basketball is 6,812 seats which can be expanded to 10,000 for concerts. The coliseum was a former home to the Jackson Bandits minor league ice hockey team from 1999 to 2003. It hosts the Mississippi State Fair each October on an annual basis. The Mississippi Coliseum along with the surrounding complex hosts the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi River, the Dixie National Rodeo.
