The stadium's official grand opening show was the Opening of SkyDome; a celebration that had a crowd of 50,000 people accompanied by the appearances by Alan Thicke, Oscar Peterson, and Andrea Martin. The venue has a seating capacity of 49,282 for baseball, 53,6506 for football, 47,568 for Soccer, and 10,000-55,000 for Concerts. It is owned by Rogers Communications. Rod Robbie designed the architecture of this masterpiece. The venue underwent several renovations and expansions.
Rogers Centre serves host to events like football, baseball, soccer, along with conventions, trade fairs, concerts, traveling carnivals and Monster Truck shows.
