The Orpheum Theatre Madison is located at 216 State St, Madison, Wisconsin. It was opened to the public on March 21, 1927, with a construction cost of $750,000. It is the venue where live performances and musical theatre takes place. It has a seating capacity of 1,697 people at a time. The Orpheum Theatre Madison also hosts concerts and wedding receptions. The structure of the Orpheum Theatre building consists of the terrazzo floors, chandeliers, grand staircases, and statue of Orpheus. The theater was nearly burnt to ashes on December 19, 2014.
