JQH Arena is located at 685 South John Q. Hammons Parkway, Springfield, MO. It is an arena for special events and basketball which was inaugurated on November 13, 2008, with a construction cost of $67 Million. The venue is owned and operated by Missouri State University. It is a multi-surface arena with a seating capacity of 11,000 (9,637 chairback seats, 114 loge seats, 122 seats for permanently disabled individuals, and 22 private suites. The maximum seating which can be arranged for concerts with an end-stage is 10,542. The venue serves home to Missouri State Bears (Men's & Women's Basketball) and Lady Bears, basketball teams. The architecture of the arena is designed by Ellerbe Becket Pellham Phillips Architects & Engineers Inc. The site is connected to the Hammons Student Center via an underground corridor.
The inauguration ceremony for the venue was accompanied by the Eagles band on November 13, 2008, in front of a sold-out crowd of 10,550. The first appearance of the Built Ford Tough Series by the PBR was made in 2009 fall at the venue. Some popular concerts that were performed at the JQH Arena include Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, James Taylor, Scott McCready, Francesca Battistelli, MercyMe, The Eagles, and many more.
