Morris Performing Arts Center is a concert hall located at North Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana. It has a seating capacity of 2,564 people. The venue opened to the general public in 1922 as a vaudeville house and later became a movie palace. The center was planned to be closed permanently in 1959 but was saved from demolition. Then it underwent renovations and reopened on March 3, 2000. Currently, it is under the ownership of the City of South Bend while managed and operated by Morris Entertainment Incorporation. J.S. Aroner designs the architecture of the concert hall; Ralph Sollitt Corporation based on the Spanish Renaissance Revival theme. The center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Morris Performing Arts Center is home to the South Bend Symphony Orchestra. It hosts broadway shows, concerts, commencement ceremonies, and many other entertainment events.
