The Murat Theatre is located at 502 N. New Jersey St, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. The venue was inaugurated on February 28, 1910. It has a seating capacity of 1,800 for the concert hall along with a banquet room, 2,500 for performing arts theatre, and 600 for Corinthian Hall. It is under the ownership of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and operated by Live Nation.
The architecture of the theatre was designed by Oscar D. Bohlen. It underwent renovations in the year 1996. The Murat Theatre currently serves home to a variety of special events including theoretical performances, corporate events, runway shows, banquets, sports legends alumni honors awards, weddings, receptions, political events, and bridal shows. The famous wrestling match of the Extreme Championship Wrestling Company was hosted by the venue on April 13, 2000. At present, the Murat Theatre is one of the city's most prominent venues for live entertainment and music. Noteworthy shows that were hosted by the theater include Dreamgirls, Wicked, The Lion King, and a few others. The upcoming events of 2019 to be held at the theatre are Disney junior Holiday Party, Moscow Ballet's Great Russian and Straight No Chaser.
