The unique feature of the stadium is the retractable roof and windows. The roof can open or close in 9 to 11 minutes. The venue host a variety of events based on entertainment and sports, including soccer, football, concerts, etc.
Annual events held at the stadium include Big Ten Football Championship Game, Monster Energy Supercross, NFL Draft Combine, etc. Some future events to be held at this place are North American Youth Congress 2021, NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four (April 2021, April 2026), along with three more. The first soccer game to be hosted at the venue was on August 1, 2013.
