The theatre has been enjoying the largest theatre position since its inauguration on June 10, 1979. The venue is used for concerts, ballets, Broadway shows, etc. The theater is under the ownership of the Des Moines performing arts and operated by the owner. Charles Hebert and Associates designed the architecture of the building. The center is famous for its acoustics and handicapped accessibility.
