The Fort Worth Convention Center, which was formerly known as the Tarrant County Convention Center, is located at 12 Houston Street, Fort Worth, Texas, USA. The place opened its doors to the public on September 30, 1968. The venue has a seating capacity of around 4,210 at Water Garden Events Plaza, 3,544 at FWCC Ballroom, and 13,500 at FWCC Arena. The place is owned by the City of Fort Worth and operated by the Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau. During the years 1983, 2002, and 2003, the expansion of the arena took place. The venue was renamed in 1997 when the City of Fort Worth purchased all the ownership rights of the site.
The venue has hosted hundreds of shows since its inauguration and honored with some of the famous and great names of artists. Elvis Parsley performed at the arena for noon and evening, both the shows each day, on June 15 and 16, 1974. Pink Floyd performed at the Fort Worth Convention Center on May 1, 1997, during their “In The Flesh Tour.” Metallica has recorded their “Cunning Stunts” video at the theatre on May 9-10, 1997. Along with the above artists, President Donald Trump, as a presidential candidate, held his campaign’s rally here at Fort Worth on February 26, 2016.
