The MetLife Stadium was awarded by the name of the "Greenest Stadium" in the NFL by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2009. In 2017, it was awarded the "Venue of the Year" by the Stadium Business Summit.

The venue hosted WWE's flagship pay-per-view WrestleMania twice, WrestleMania 35, SummerSlam 1992, etc. The first event to be held at this place was the Big City Classic lacrosse event (April 10, 2010).
